Palam has a brighter future. The reasons come from Oxford, IIT
Indian Express : Shashank Verma and Sagun Saxena — armed with MBAs from Oxford — are two such people who are in India to be part of Swades, initiated by Pune-based NGO Socio Economic Development Trust (SEDT) in Palam block (Parbhani district). Verma and Saxena are not the only ones. There are Jasjeet Singh Chaddha, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Jaideep Jain, a student of NIT Surat, who were invited by SEDT to present their ideas at Yashada on Saturday morning, with Ashutosh Gowariker and Arun Firodia for audience.
The presentation by Verma and Saxena — about the use of bio energy as a means of empowering rural India — was well received by the panel of dignitaries.
They landed in India to test the project and have been working closely with the Planning Commission and the State governments of Uttaranchal, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
