IndianExpress: On August 20, Cantonment residents from New Modikhana complained about muddy and stinking water flowing through their taps, resulting in a promise by the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) to fix the problem. One month has gone by, but the PCB has done nothing as sewage water continues to leak from several places in the Cantonment.
On the road near the Artificial Limb Centre, a broken drain chamber has been spewing foul smelling water for over two months, resulting in a virtual cess pool in the middle of the road. In other places like Bhimpura and New Modikhana, residents say their drinking water has a foul smell as doubts about sewage and drinking water getting mixed raise their head time and again.
