IndianExpress: A week after the Pune Municipal Corporation’s standing committee rejected the proposal for awarding tenders to implement the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) on Satara and Solapur roads, the State government on Tuesday rescinded the civic no suggestions decision and directed the municipal commissioner to resubmit the proposals.
In a Government Resolution, the State said the standing committee’s decision was against the public interest and would hamper the projects under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. Justifying its move to revoke the decision, the State said the civic panel had not given any reason for rejecting the proposal.
