Realtor held for malpractice
TOI : PUNE: The Paud police have arrested Lonavla-based real estate agent Khurshid Bohari (42) for allegedly changing the classification of an agricultural land at Deoghar-Nangaon villages in Mulshi taluka for selling it to a businessman in Solapur.
He was remanded to police custody till August 2 by judicial magistrate first class R.B. Bhagwat. He was arrested on a complaint lodged by assistant inspector Dnyaneshwar Ganore of the local crime branch of the Pune rural police.
Bohari’s involvement came to light while conducting an inquiry into a complaint application filed by Jejus Sudhir Lal of Malad at Mumbai, saying that someone has changed the survey numbers of his property.
The inquiry revealed that Bohari had obtained power of attorney of Shah of Mumbai in respect of a land at Deoghar-Nangaon. He had sold some parts of the agricultural land on the basis of the power of attorney and by forging documents to show that it was non-agricultural land. Bohari had even got the documents notarised from a lawyer practising at the Bombay High Court.
The probe brought to light the fact that Bohari had sold a plot to Suhas Balbhim Deshmukh of Solapur in 2005.
Bohari is involved in cheating and extortion cases registered at Lonavla and Paud. He is also involved in another cheating case registered with the Surat police. The suspect is being charged for cheating the government for allegedly tampering with the non-agricultural certificate. Print EMail DiscussNew B…More
